I too, am a great fan of Michael and have read all the Harry Bosch books, but this one is not up to the usual standard. Harry is so nit-picking not like his normal self. I am having a job to pick the book up and I am only halfway through, must be my lack of interest in Chinese Triad gangs. Looking forward to his getting back to his cold cases etc.

I really enjoyed this book but then I am a Michael Connelly fan. Maybe not his best but to me a very readable and satisfying read. A few nice twists in there too so although it ended as you would wish, it was definitly not predictable. The story is partly set in Hong Kong which was interesting and with the Chinese community of L.A. If you enjoy a bit of a thriller this book may not change your life but you won't regret reading it.
